JOY RIDE TO FREEDOM

“Joy Ride to Freedom” is a non stop action drama. A young man Devin Reynolds and a female friend Chrissy Spears meet accidentally after they both decide to run away from home because of parental problems. Before they can get out of town they’re contacted by another friend of theirs Bo Willis, that needs help getting his mother away from an abusive boyfriend. They’re forced to steal a car in order to rescue them. What they don’t know is that drug dealers just dropped a briefcase containing 3 million dollars in the trunk of that car.

On the way to rescue Bo and his mom, they’re car jacked by a young man Jim Sheldon that just robbed the 7-11 that he worked at. His boss fired him in order to give a relative a job, so he took the bank deposit and ran out the door. Now all 5 of them are in the car together escaping that town. The police are chasing them because of the 7-11 thief. The drug dealers are chasing them because of the money and the big boss’s goons are chasing them because of the drug dealers screw up. They run into a lot of complications during their journey, but Devin the lead is an excellent driver and he gets them away clean every time making fools out of his pursuers. They eventually find the money in the trunk. Chrissy and the Jim spark a romance and end up taking off together. And they take a little money with them too. They’re headed for Pennsylvania and Jim’s aunt’s farm. The drug dealers catch up to the remaining three. But after some conversation among all of them, the drug dealers decide they don’t want to be pushed around by the big boss’s goons anymore, so they join up with Devin, Bo and his mom and they’re off together. The big boss’s goons are still in hot pursuit.

When they finally catch up with them they’re surprised by the welcoming party. The goons end up tied up in their car floating down the river on a coal barge. Chrissy calls the other group on their cell phone and invites them to join them in Pennsylvania not knowing that the drug dealers are now with them. But, in the end you’ll see that everything turns out for the best. The big boss who surprisingly is Chrissy’s father ends up being put in jail. The 7-11 thief sends the money he stole back to the 7-11.

Three months later Devin has his own race car and he’s running at the local dirt track in Pennsylvania. He screams across the finish line in first place. Celebrating with him in the winner’s circle is his main sponsor, a restaurant now owned by the drug dealers.

Chrissy and her fiancé Jim are also there. They all retire back to the farm where a picnic is in progress celebrating everyone’s success. The goons! Well they’re whistling a happy tune while actually working on the coal barge that we last saw them on.
