THE
RUINS OF STRANGERS
This
mystery/ghost story starts in the year 2005 in small rural town. Ryan,
an 18 years old boy is digging in the desert. He uncovers a diary and
a map of Las Vegas. He takes it to his bedroom, which is full of treasures
he has uncovered over the years.
To find out how the diary got there and what it means we'll flash back
to the year 1993. Picasso, an 18 year old girl is traveling as a passenger
in a vehicle coming from Las Vegas. At the same time a man is getting
quite drunk at a bar in that small town that Picasso is heading for.
He's boasting about someone he killed and how he has to get rid of the
evidence. He leaves the bar in his pick up truck and eventually collides
head on with the car coming from Las Vegas. They are all killed. Back
to the year 2005, and that beautiful Picasso is walking along the highway
not too far from the collision sight. She is still 18 years old because
she is now a ghost. She is looking for the man who is her father and
who also killed her mother in Las Vegas.
Picasso's spare time is spent trying to sexually educate high school
boys. Ryan is the first one she meets when she walks into the small
town. Their relationship ends up being like a brother/sister thing.
And we're glad because what we will find out later is that the drunk
in the pick up truck that was killed was Ryan's father and also the
man that Picasso was looking for.
Picasso knew that her mother kept a diary and that there was a picture
of her father in it. So, she is after that diary to find out what her
father looks like. Ryan has not been able to get the lock open on the
diary and he keeps it well guarded.
To add more interest, Ryan's father has a twin brother, Steve. When
the diary finally gets opened, Picasso get a look at the man she is
there to kill and Ryan wanders why there is a picture of his Uncle Steve
in the diary.
Uncle Steve has a past, too. When he was a cop in LA years ago he was
drinking while on duty and accidentally hit a car in an intersection.
The father and daughter were killed and the mother was crippled for
life. The mother now lives in that small town and her daughter Amy (a
ghost) is there to make Steve's life miserable. Amy is the one that
Ryan falls in love with.
In the end they all come together at the crash site. Ryan will meet
his father, Picasso will kill him, and Ryan will find out that Amy is
a ghost. There is non-stop action, mystery, love, and more surprises.
